At the end of the above trainings, examinations are conducted in both indoor and outdoor subjects and the candidates have to pass in all the examinations.
Two supplementary chances are given to each candidate to pass the above examinations, ensuring fair opportunities for successful completion.

Foundation Training Program for Stipendiary Trainee Cadets across All Ranks - Comprehensive training as per Police Training Manual guidelines
On recruitment and appointment as stipendiary trainee cadets, the personnel in all ranks will have to undergo Basic Induction Training in one of the Training Establishments or units as determined by Addl. Director General of Police R & T on behalf of DGP followed by practical training and qualify in such of the tests and examinations, both outdoor, indoor, theory or practical as per rules and as contained in Police Training Manual.

* Training schedules and durations are established as per GO Ms. No. 71 Home (Ser III) Department dated 01-03-2013 of Government of Andhra Pradesh. All training programs are conducted in strict compliance with these government guidelines.
Every person selected to the post and sent for training at Government cost or support should serve the department for a minimum period of five years, and to that extent he shall execute a bond for:

In cases where the person is discharged for not passing the test/examination or for any other reason, he shall forfeit the bond to cover up the money spent on his training and remuneration received by him.

1. The periodicity for in-service course training may be once in a year.
2. For Orientation courses and completion of mandatory courses the period may be within 3 years from the date of completion of institutional and practical training.
The duration of in-service courses for Constables to Dy.SsP would be for a period ranging from 1 week to 3 weeks.
For courses in specialized areas, the duration may be from 3 weeks to 12 weeks depending upon the subject.

Essential training policy and promotional eligibility requirements for all police officers
Police Officers in different ranks will be required to undergo prescribed in-service and refresher courses on various subjects in Police Training Institutions or Unit Training Centers.
Those who are nominated but do not attend and complete prescribed courses will not be eligible for consideration for promotion to next higher rank.
SsP/SsRP/CsP/Commandants must ensure all officers are sent for in-service training at least twice a year depending on targeted crime areas.
DPO/CP offices must make entries in service books about courses attended by officers from time to time for proper record maintenance.
Compliance with in-service training requirements is mandatory and directly linked to career advancement opportunities. All stakeholders must ensure proper documentation and attendance tracking.

Advanced specialized trainings conducted in collaboration with Central Police Organizations and international institutions, designed for selected personnel including IPS Officers across various specialized domains of modern policing.

It is compulsory for all nominees to attend specialized courses and complete them successfully. Non-completion may affect career progression and professional development opportunities.
Officers undergoing international training must submit detailed synopsis of learning points. Training division circulates these reports to SsP/CsP for organizational adoption and learning.
